Overview
The Center for Learning Connections is providing
training to offenders, their families, neighborhood teams, and communities
for the Washington Statewide Young Offender Reentry Project ("Going
Home")
funded through the Serious Violent Offender Reentry Grant Program.
Within the scope of this project, the Center
for Learning Connections is providing training in three counties:
King, Pierce and Spokane, to help offenders, their families, staff
and the community to prepare for the re-entry.
Through the Reentry Academy, the Center will
address the training needs of all offenders, families, and agency
and neighborhood partnerships in the project. Training is primarily
focused
on aligning
various
partners around the Project to:
- Return ex-offenders
to their community
- Provide a seamless continuum of support
for their reintegration into local communities
