TRAINER BIOGRAPHY

SANDY BJORGEN, M.A., CPC

As owner of Creative Conversations, Sandy Bjorgen provides improv-based communication training and coaching for organizations, business professionals, leaders, and teams. She helps people learn to think and speak on their feet with skill, ease, and tact. As a result, they achieve greater success in their face-to-face interactions and relationships.

Sessions are interactive, entertaining, experiential, and educational. Participants get extensive practice with tools and techniques of persuasive speaking, active listening, improvisation, constructive feedback, and collaborative solution-building. Training is more effective when people are actively involved in the process, enjoy it, and feel safe enough to experiment. These sessions raise awareness, tap inner creativity, lead to insights, and develop effective communicators and leaders.

Sandy has an MA degree in Psychology and a BA in English. She is a certified professional coach, is a member of Toastmasters, and serves on the board of the local chapter of the National Speakers Association.

For over 20 years, she gathered experience as an instructor, counselor, facilitator, coach, and manager in education, healthcare, and various other business sectors (profit and non-profit). Her varied background also includes training in theater (both as a student of theater and as an actor), work as instructor and counselor for the Displaced Homemaker Program, and life as an RSP (Recovering Shy Person).
