Webinar Overview:

There are misconceptions, hasty generalizations, un-truths, and myths that are wrongly associated with older workers.  The myths often create a natural bias against older workers.  The workshop will equip the participant to not only indentify the common myths but also will address how to counter the wrong thinking.  Job seekers, counselors, job search coaches, and instructors will gain insight on dealing with myths regarding older workers.

AARP has reported 16% of working people over 55 have lost their job in the past 12 months.  27% of people in this age group are now postponing plans for retirement.  The labor market is being flooded by older job seekers.  We must equip them with marketing tools that will help them to compete in today’s job market.  The workshop will address the most common job search mistakes made by older job seekers.  We will conclude with the power of networking and explain how as we get older our network shrinks.  We will give practical advice on growing networks and tapping into the hidden job market.

This will be a fun 2 hour presentation that will provide helpful tools for your older job seekers.
