Current Projects
The Center for Learning Connections provides
project management for a wide range of groups, associations, or
initiatives. Some current projects include:
The
Association Executive Office
CLC serves as the executive and coordinating
office for the Association of Community and Technical College
Administrators. CLC manages the organization’s conferences
and other professional development activities.
Center
for Dependable Strengths Executive Office
CLC is the Executive Office for the
Center for Dependable Strengths. Through this project, CLC provides
training coordination, resources, and research around the Dependable
Strengths Articulation Process.
Non-Profit
Staff Development Coalition Project
CLC initiated the NPSDC based on collaboratively
identifying unmet staff training needs for non-profit human services
organizations in King County. CLC through the Coalition designs,
develops, and delivers relevant training activities.
Building
Skills Conferences
Through funding provided by the Employment
Security Department in Washington State, CLC assists with the
planning for and coordination of the Building Skills conferences,
offered every eighteen months to frontline staff in workforce
development.
Dual
Enrollment
Through the State Board for Community
and Technical Colleges, CLC coordinates and assists with planning
the Running Start Conferences in Washington State, as well as
maintaining the online Running
Start Coordinator's Guide.
Skill
Standards Resource Center
Through funding from the State Board
for Community and Technical Colleges, CLC hosts the Skill Standards
Resource Center via www.wa-skills.com and a resource room located
at the CLC offices. Through the Skill Standards Resource Center,
CLC provides information and materials on skill standards developed
by Washington State colleges and consortium.
University of Washington
Tacoma Computing and Software Systems Partnership Project
The Center for Learning Connections
(CLC) serves as a Liaison to this project on behalf of the Washington
State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. In the Liaison
role, CLC provides information, communication and support to the
project.

Workforce
/Transitions, Learning & Work
The next conference will be sometime
in February, 2008, in the Puget Sound area (specific venue to
be determined).
Workforce Conferences are a joint venture
between three organizations:
- Washington Occupational Information
Systems
- Center for Learning Connections.
