Summary of Significant Comments and Input
    • With rare exception, most all participants thought the TMP format was preferable, especially if accompanied by a crosswalk of the definitions back to the GLEs.
    • Include habits of mind. Develop core, cross-curricular habits of mind, and then customize as necessary for the various disciplines. Perhaps use the term Attributes, since that is the terminology used by TMP.
    • Regarding the Science Definitions:
      • EALR 1 -- Science Content: The content from the 9/10 GLEs is sufficient. One table suggested that the 9/10 GLEs without evidence of learning/definitions would be best, as it would allow for greater local curriculum development.
      • EALRS 2-3 – Inquiry and Application: With some edits, the definitions from the content development team were essentially approved.
    • The main changes from the English GLEs were:
      • A shift in emphasis from literature to rhetoric
      • A way to handle the issues of equity and access.

  10. Subgroup to synthesize the input from the Expert Review Team. 6 and 7 Content Experts.
    • Adopted the input from the Expert Review Team.
    • Revised the format of the definitions.

  11. Student Attributes Joint Working Session
    • Three representatives from each of the three content development teams (English, Science and Math) met to discuss the notion of join student attributes.
    • Identified student attributes common to all three areas, and identified some attributes specific to science or English.

  12. Online Review #3: 16/19 Content Experts completed the online review.

  13. Subgroup to synthesize the output from the online review. 4 and 5 Content Experts.

  14. Draft Definitions for the October Sessions.

  15. Post definitions on the Web site to obtain additional feedback from the content development team and the public.
