  1. Consolidated 5 sets of national standards selected by PCT

  2. 2-day kick off event, January 12-13. 20 Content Experts, one-third each from high school, 2-year and 4-year institutions.


    • Reviewed and refined the consolidated list of national standards
    • Discussed process and philosophical issues

  3. 2-day follow-up session to refine definitions, February 16-17. 6 Content Experts.

  4. Draft 1 of the college readiness definitions, based on the EALR/GLE structure.

  5. Online review of definitions, 18 of 20 Content Experts completed the online review.

  6. Next Steps:


    • Subgroup to synthesize output from the online review
    • Large group session April 27-28 to refine the college readiness definitions and address philosophical and pedagogical issues.

    • Develop initial set of definitions, using the list of national standards and the Attributes from TMP

    • Large group session March 30-31 to address philosophical and pedagogical issues and develop Draft 2 of the college readiness definitions.
    • Online review of Draft 2 of the definitions.
