Session description:

Employee engagement is one of the most important issues in today’s workplace.  Keeping your employees connected and committed during these economic times is both challenging and essential.  A recent American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) study found that only one-third of employees are highly engaged in their jobs.  Highly engaged employees are crucial for organizational success.  That means that you, as a manager or supervisor, must become skilled in engaging and retaining a talented, diverse and high-performing staff – especially during uncertain times.

During this practical and interactive session, you’ll learn strategies for creating a positive, inclusive and engaging workplace that is built on mutual trust, respect and appreciation.  The key to engagement is positive, inclusive leadership that creates connection and commitment.
You’ll learn the key drivers of employee engagement, identify ways to define and assess engagement in your workplace, and consider the impact of a multi-generational, multi-cultural workforce on employee engagement.  You’ll share ideas and explore ways to implement best practices in a non-profit environment.
