Pamela
Bezona is the Employee Development Manager for Costco Wholesale.
Her primary role is to design and deliver operationally sound
training programs.
She received her bachelor’s
degree from Western Washington University and spent 10 years in
Secondary Education with the Pasco School district.
Pamela began her career with Costco
in 1983 as a part-time stocker. Her original employee number was
198. She was proud to be the first female forklift driver of the
company.
She worked in a variety of positions
in operations while attending graduate school. She received her
Masters of Education from Seattle University and a certification
in Human Resource Management from the University of Washington.
Pamela has been certified in Instructional
Design and as a trainer for Increasing Human Effectiveness. She
recently completed Executive Coach training from the College of
Executive Coaching, Santa Barbara , California.
She presented her “Get S.M.A.R.T.
about Goals” program at Costco’s International Managers
Conference in 2004.
For the past two years she has
delivered workshops at the Operational Effectiveness Conference
sponsored by Renton Technical College.
This past
June she spoke at the Society for Human Resource Manager’s
National Conference in San Diego. “Performance Management
Solutions: Tools for Turning Them Around.”
