Dr. Kenford Nedd, M.D.
Dr. Kenford Nedd is a practicing Medical Doctor in the Field of Family Medicine with a special practice in Behavioral Medicine and Stress and treats stress related disorders in both clinical and corporate settings. In his capacity as President of the International Stress Control Centre he treats patients from different countries with anxiety, headache, pain and stress disorders.
Dr. Nedd is an active Member of the Canadian Medical Association, the American Headache Society, the International Headache Society, the National Headache Foundation, the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia... More.
Allen Boivin-Brown
Allen Boivin-Brown is President of the Center for Dependable Strengths and a Master Trainer of the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process. He is author of the Dependable Strengths Facilitator Manual and Dependable Strengths for High School curriculum. He also serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Washington Occupational Information System.
Cal Crow, Ph.D.
Cal Crow is a co-founder and Program Director at the Center for Learning Connections. He has been a high school teacher and counselor, a community college program coordinator and instructor, a university lecturer, a counselor in private practice, a trainer and a consultant. He holds a Ph. D. from Arizona State University.
Dr. Crow was one of three individuals selected to revise the National Career Development Guidelines, and co-authored the revised Job Hunter Guide for Washington State’s One-stop system. His written materials and ideas are being used in schools and other organizations throughout the country.
Heidi Schillenger, M.S.W., Reach Out Director
Heidi’s experience in community development, adult education, and social enterprise includes over a decade of experience working with diverse, low-income communities – seven years with New Futures and six years living and working abroad, in Mongolia, as a Peace Corps Volunteer, as well as in South Korea. These experiences have helped shape her passion for providing and sharing culturally competent practices. Heidi is currently in charge of directing ReachOut. In this role, she is also one of ReachOut’s primary curriculum designers and trainers. Heidi received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Asian Studies from Saint Olaf College, and her Master’s of Social Work, with an emphasis in Multi-Ethnic Practice, from the University of Washington.
Vic Snyder, M.Ed
Vic Snyder is Associate Director of Counseling with the University of Washington Career Center where he has performed career counseling and presented career, job search and Dependable Strengths workshops to students and alumni for the last twelve years. Vic has been involved in the career development field for more than 25 years in the Seattle area as a private practitioner, as a Supervisor of Counseling and Guidance at Lake Washington Technical College, and at the UW. Vic has served as president of the Puget Sound Career Development Association and the Washington State Vocational Guidance Association. He completed an M Ed in Educational Psychology at the University of Washington and a BA in English from Kent State University.
Katie Hearn Zang, LCSW
Katie Hearn Zang, LCSW, is a certified Master Trainer for the Dependable Strengths Articulation (DSA) Process and serves on the Center for Dependable Strengths Executive Committee. She has facilitated many DS workshops for a variety of organizations including Community and Technical Colleges, Employment Security, King County Library System (KCLS), University of Washington, Equity Offices and the Boeing Company. Katie is recognized for her ability to connect with a broad range of people and her enthusiasm for teaching.
