Trainer Biography

 

VIC SNYDER

Vic Snyder is an Associate Director of Counseling with the University of Washington Career Center where he has presented career, job search and Dependable Strengths workshops to students and alumni for the last nine years.  Vic is a certified Dependable Strengths Master Trainer and is a board member and treasurer of the Center for Dependable Strengths. He was a member of the team that trained South African instructors and trainers in the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process in 2001. He has also presented Dependable Strengths workshops to WorkFirst professionals.

Vic has been involved in the career development field for more than 20 years in the Seattle area as a private practitioner in career consulting, as a Supervisor of Counseling and Guidance at Lake Washington Technical College, and at the UW.  Vic has served as president of the Puget Sound Career Development Association (1997-98) and the Washington State Vocational Guidance Association (1984-85).  He completed a Masters of Education degree in Educational Psychology at the UW and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kent State University. 


SHARON  FELTON


Sharon Allen Felton has over 20 years experience in teaching, counseling, and facilitating groups.   She is currently Director of Health Sciences and Related Programs at Bellevue Community College.   Additionally, she has worked in medical settings as a registered nurse, and developed programs in health care and education.

Sharon is a Certified Dependable Strengths Master Trainer.   Her work with Dependable Strengths includes conducting trainings with the U.S. South African team (2001), Center for Dependable Strengths Executive Board Member, and facilitating workshops for diverse groups including WorkFirst, higher education and Montessori schools.

Sharon has a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Washington, B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and Associate Degree in Nursing from Pasadena City College.
