Trainer Biography

 

CHUCK ANDERSON

Charles (Chuck) Anderson, Ph.D., CAS, is a principle partner with IITEC, the “International Institute for Training, Education & Consulting, Inc.”, with corporate headquarters located in Port Orchard, WA. He also teaches chemical dependency courses at Tacoma Community College.

Chuck has more than 33 years of combined experience in chemical dependency treatment and, education and training. Chuck’s professional management and consulting experience includes the development, marketing and implementation of innovative management/employee training programs for human service programs, schools,  aerospace, and the federal and state government.

Chuck received his Ph.D. in Psychology from U.S. International University in San Diego, and is a Nationally Certified Addictions Specialist.

He, and his wife Linsdy live in Port Orchard, WA, along with their dog, cats, and fish.   His hobbies include the restoration and racing of a 1964 E-Type Jaguar Coupe.

 

MICHAEL J. TOWEY

Mike Towey, C.D.P., C.P.P., M.P.A. has worked in the Human Services since 1974 working in almost every aspect of treatment and prevention including 6 years as the administrator of alcohol and drug services in Pierce and Kitsap Counties. 

Mike has 27 years of teaching experience and he is a tenured faculty at Tacoma Community College completing his 20th year in 2008.  He has been a full time instructor and advisor in the Human Service Program at Tacoma Community College every quarter since 1989.  He has been doing specialized training in chemical dependency treatment, prevention, ethics, clinical supervision in community programs for the past twenty years.  

Mike has a Masters Degree in Public Administration and is a Certified Chemical Dependency Professional and a Certified Prevention Specialist in Washington State, currently Past President of the Prevention Board.  He served as a member of the CSAT task force developing standards for chemical dependency supervisors in October of 2005.
