Trainer Biography

HEIDI K. SCHILLINGER, MSW

Heidi is the Director of ReachOut, a social enterprise of New Futures, which engages individuals in transforming organizations to effectively serve culturally diverse children and families.  In this role, she is also one of ReachOut's primary curriculum designers and trainers.

Heidi’s experience in community development, adult education, and social enterprise includes over a decade of experience working with diverse, low-income communities – six years with New Futures and six years living and working abroad, in Mongolia, as a Peace Corps Volunteer, as well as in South Korea.  These experiences have helped shape her passion for providing and sharing culturally competent practices.

Heidi received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Asian Studies from Saint Olaf College, and her Master’s of Social Work, with an emphasis in Multi-Ethnic Practice, from the University of Washington.
