Registration Process
Who Can Register and How?
Registration is being conducted electronically through The Center for
Learning Connections and will be a two-step, electronic process.
First, the program director must register all participants from his/her
program based on the program’s slot allocation. An electronic
document (Microsoft Word format) will be emailed to all program directors.
In turn, program directors must fill in the names, strand preference,
and emails of their alloted participants.
- Each participant must be signed up for a first and second choice
strand.
- The number of registrants from each program cannot exceed the program
slot allocation. If a program is not using all of its allocated slots,
the directors are asked to indicate that on the registration form.
A waiting list will be established to fill unused slots based on the
space available in the requested strand on a first come, first serve
basis.
- Payment must accompany the Word document application in order to
confirm participant registration. Click here
for payment information.
- Completed documents must be sent to Jan Palmer (jpalmer@highline.edu)
no later than Monday,
May 15th.
In the second stage, once the Directors Program Registration Form has
been received, emails will go out to those participants selected to
participate in the Summer Institute.
Who Should Attend?
The Office of Adult Basic Education (ABE) is offering Summer Institute
’06 to teams of basic skills instructors, coordinators, and administrators
from ABE funded programs. The activities of the Institute and expected
follow-through require participants to be interested in and willing
to embark on a program development project to be completed after the
conference. We ask that Program Administrators screen staff to determine
their interest in the Institute and their commitment to specific strands
and implementation activities.
